Busted for having sex while on a school field trip, four Southwest High School students are now facing some serious consequences.

The four students, two girls and two boys, were part of the Naval ROTC at Southwest High school. The group was in Corpus Christi for a ROTC competition.

“They were suspended for sexual misconduct during a field trip,” says Sharon Woldhagen, with SWISD.

The district tells News 4 WOAI the students admitted to having sex at the hotel they were staying in, while in Corpus. Woldhagen says the incident happened sometime after midnight, because the last bed check was at 11:30 p.m.

Dead prostitute gets free bus ride

A man carrying a suitcase which contained the torso of a murdered prostitute caught a bus, the Old Bailey has heard.

Daniel Archer, from Poole, Dorset, then dumped the case into Regent's Canal, north London, the prosecution said.

The 53-year-old is accused of murdering Nasra Ismail, after having sex with her, then cutting up her body and storing the parts in a freezer.

Mr Archer denies murdering Miss Ismail, aged 27, in March last year.

Jurors were told how Mr Archer had picked up the Somalian woman at King's Cross and taken her back to his brother's flat.

Basko took a bite out of crime -- but it cost him his life.

The 5-year-old drug-sniffing German shepherd died Friday after he bit into a bag of cocaine during an annual certification search in Riverside County, according to Sgt. Jim Banach with the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Basko had successfully completed the search and was in his partner's car for the ride home when he had a seizure. The partner, Officer Ken Greenleaf, rushed Basko to a nearby animal clinic, where the dog died before he could be treated, Banach said.

Australians are having sex more often with more people but for more than 40 per cent of us that's still not enough.

We have sex on average 108 times a year or once every three days, according to the 2005 Durex Global Sex Survey released today. But Aussies take serious risks with unsafe sex.

Sixty-one per cent of those surveyed admitted having unprotected sex without knowing their partner's sexual history.

"It's alarming," Durex marketing manager Carla McCarthy said.

"With the amount of people contracting sexually transmitted infections on the increase, it is vital that we embark on effective sexual education campaigns."

A man died on his bicycle Saturday night when he tried to beat a train to a railroad crossing and was rammed by the locomotive, a law enforcement official said.

A rural community is convinced that a newborn boy was immediately able to talk and warn of an ill omen before he and his mother died. Some residents in Giyani and Bolobedu are now wearing strips of mielie bags around their arms and legs to protect themselves from the baby's prophecy. A 59-year-old Bayonne man's luck apparently ran out last week, when he was mugged of a $5,000 scratch-off ticket and $300 in cash, police said.

The man, a resident of East 25th Street, went to the Big Apple Restaurant and Lounge on Broadway in Bayonne on Friday and told customers and employees he'd won the prize and had the scratch-off ticket with him.

"He was all excited and showing people the ticket," said the restaurant's owner, Vinny Bottino. "He's a nice guy and everybody was happy for him because he was someone who won money that we knew could use it."

A Dallas cab driver is in big trouble for getting caught on tape sprinkling dried feces on pastries.

49-year-old Behrouz Nahidmobarekeh is on trial for allegedly throwing fecal matter on pastries at a Fiesta grocery store.

Police said they found a pile of human feces by his bed.

He would dry it, either by microwave or just letting it sit out and grate it up with a cheese grater and then sprinkle it at the store, officials said.

A Melbourne council has explained how one of its parking officers issued a fine to a man who had been dead in his parked car for several days.

Maroondah City Council parking officers stuck the fine on the windscreen of the man's car on Wednesday at the Croydon Market shopping centre in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that police discovered the deceased man, 71, yesterday and found a parking ticket on the windscreen of his car. He had been reported missing to police nine days ago and was known to be seriously ill.

Maroondah mayor Paul Denham said in a statement today that the parking officer had not noticed the man when he attached the parking fine to the windscreen.

A woman wore nothing but a red G-string when she attacked and killed her boyfriend's estranged wife who had just found them in bed together, a court was told yesterday.

Kathleen Schroeder, 43, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrate's Court charged with murdering Narelle Nix-Barclay, also 43, in February. About 22 people have been arrested for apparently trying to stone a grieving father after his daughter's funeral on Saturday.

His daughter died when she drove into a tree, but the mob accused her father of using witchcraft to cause her death, said superintendent Ailwei Mushavhanamadi of Vhembe police in Limpopo on Monday.

They said erectile dysfunction should be added to the list of risk factors for heart disease alongside high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and smoking.

"Erectile dysfunction should be part of a cardiovascular risk assessment," said Emilio Chiurlia, a researcher from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Modena, Italy, who conducted the study.

A special panel will meet in Volusia County Monday to begin deliberations about a book assigned to students that at least one woman calls pornography.

In August, the mother of an 11th-grade student in Deland, Vikki Reed, said a 1992 novel, "Cracking India" by Bapsi Sihwal, given to her daughter to read by a Deland High School teacher is not suitable for students and should be banned.

The novel details historic events in India in the 1940s through the eyes of a young girl. However, Reed said it discusses oral sex and should not be assigned to students.

"The real issue is a 9-year-old girl having or being introduced to oral sex by her cousin who is going through puberty," Reed said. "To me, that is totally inappropriate. I don't know where learning about India would involve learning about oral sex."

Reed's complaint is based on four pages of the 289-page book.

A woman who hasn't paid a $1.16 income tax bill to this Cincinnati suburb faces a stiff penalty — up to 18 months in jail and $4,000 in fines.

City officials say Deborah Combs hasn't filed city income tax returns for five years. Combs says she has been mostly unemployed since 2000 and didn't realize she had to file the returns until the city notified her in February about the violation.

By that time, Combs owed $200 in late fees — $50 for each year she didn't file a return.

"I don't know how they could charge me the fees if I didn't owe anything," Combs said. Loveland officials say everyone is required to file an annual return, regardless of income level.

Black magic may have driven a Cambodian couple to bite off their daughter's thumb nails and suck her blood, officials said Sunday.

Chheng Chhorn, 46, and Srun Yoeung, 37, attacked their 12-year-old child before dawn on Thursday while she was still asleep, biting off her thumb nails and a small part of her nose to drink her blood, said Keo Norea Phy, a police official in Kampong Cham province where the incident occurred.

Neighbors rushed to the couple's house and rescued the girl after hearing her screams, he said.

After treatment at a hospital in Kampong Cham, about 50 miles east of Phom Penh, the girl was placed in the custody of other villagers. Relatives had taken her parents to a black magic healer to chase away the evil spirit that was believed to have possessed them, the police official said.

A man in southern India preserved the corpse of his mother at home for 20 years until his death last week.
Syed Abdul Gafoor, a professor, had the body of his mother, Rahmat Bi, embalmed on her death in their home in the state of Andhra Pradesh in 1985.

A clown in the operating room may relax anxious children who are about to undergo surgery but the entertainer has to learn to keep out of the way, Italian researchers said.

A study of 40 children between four months and three years old who were accompanied by at least one parent prior to minor surgery found having a clown present significantly reduced anxiety levels for both child and parent.

Three out of five children suffer anxiety before surgery, according to the report published in the journal Pediatrics.

Clowns succeeded in distracting the children until the administration of anaesthesia but apparently annoyed doctors and nurses.

A 16-year-old girl who visited her boyfriend in prison in Austria ended up in jail overnight after guards forgot about her.

The teenager, from Graz, only expected to be allowed an hour visit with her 20-year-old boyfriend, who is serving a two year sentence for drugs offences at the Judenburg prison.

But she ended up spending the night with him inside the visitor's room.

Western Australia's education authority has ordered an inquiry into why three young children were locked in a school bus for six hours after the driver forgot to drop them off at kindergarten.

Officials from the WA department of education and the Public Transport Authority (PTA), who contracted the driver, were in the Great Southern town of Darkan on Monday to meet the parents of the three children, aged four, and the school's principal.

Both authorities said the incident, which happened last Thursday, was very worrying and could have ended in tragedy if conditions in the town, 200km south of Perth, had been hotter.

A spokesman for the PTA said the female driver was supposed to deliver the children to the Darkan kindergarten, after having dropped off some older students to the local high school, which is located on the same campus.

Instead, she drove past the kindergarten and on to her house, where she parked the vehicle and locked it while the children were still inside.

Kids locked in cages for protection -- do they bite?

Nine children were found locked in cages in their home in Wakeman in Huron County, NewsChannel5 reported.

The sheriff said the kids, ages 1 to 14, were found in the cages with no blankets or pillows on Friday. The wooden cages, estimated to be about 3 feet by 3 feet, were built into the walls. Officials are not releasing the photos of the cages, but the sheriff described them as makeshift cellblocks.

The parents, Sharon and Mike Gravelle, didn't seem to think anything was wrong with their treatment, officials said. Officials said all the children were adopted children. The Gravelles have not been arrested. They had 11 children in all.

The Gravelles said they put them in cages to protect themselves from each other because they are disabled, NewsChannel5 reported.

Police say they found Spencer Michael Killette urinating Friday night in the town parking deck at 150 E. Rosemary St. That was at 11:50 p.m.

Twenty-eight minutes later, Killette was at it again, according to arrest warrants.

Schools across the country are pitching in to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

While there are lemonade stands and bake sales from Connecticut to California, some schools are finding more creative vehicles.

Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, Pa., has a fun fundraising program called "Stop the Bop."

Suggested by a few members of the student council, the school is playing Hanson's 1996 hit "MMMBop" through the loudspeakers before classes begin, between periods and during lunch. The idea? Annoy students into donating; have them pay to stop the music.

Soda spiked with urine!

An investigation was launched Tuesday after a Central Florida man drank soda contaminated with urine, according to a Local 6 News report.

Public officials confirmed to Local 6 News that an employee urinated in a Mountain Dew bottle and put it on the store shelves at the Publix-owned Pix convenience store located off Howland in Deland, Fla.

After the soda was put on the shelves, a man, who was not identified, bought the bottle and drank half of it before he realized that it was contaminated, Local 6 News reported. Another store employee allegedly saw the incident and reported it to the police.

A SENIOR member of a French association for accident victims said Friday he would sue a German airport for stripping him in public when a security device reacted to a metal plate in his body.

"Wednesday I was going through the metal detector gate to take the plane and the alarm went off," said Rene Auguy, 59, from Saran in central France, recounting the incident at Cologne airport in western Germany.
"I was expecting it because I have a prosthesis, a metal plate as big as your hand at the top of my pelvis. I show a paper in French and English which explains the problem," he said.

"And then the security official pulls up my shirt and pulls my trousers down to the middle of my thighs. I find myself in my underpants in front of 300 people.

"The man runs his detector over me, and it gives the alarm. He takes me pretty violently to a booth about seven metres from the gate. I was going to take off my prosthesis when the man suddenly pulls down my underpants in front of everyone, the curtains were not closed," he said.

A South African inventor unveiled a new anti-rape female condom on Wednesday that hooks onto an attackers penis and aims to cut one of the highest rates of sexual assault in the world.
The device, made of latex and held firm by shafts of sharp barbs, can only be removed from the man through surgery which will alert hospital staff, and ultimately, the police, she said.

Some came to mountain bike in their underwear and others were motivated by the promise of free beer. But it was the prospect of getting really dirty that brought Chris Phillips to town for an offbeat, obstacle-filled running and biking race.

"One thing was on my mind the whole time: the mud pit," Phillips said after finishing the final obstacle of the Muddy Buddy race. "Plus, it was hot, and I was ready for a little cool down."

The Muddy Buddy, a six-mile duathlon that ends with an Army-style crawl through a 50-foot-long mud pit, attracted more than 1,600 racers recently to the Boulder Reservoir. Two-member teams traded off between trail running and mountain biking, with each leg divided by a giant air-filled wall, monkey bars or some other kind of obstacle.
